I have VZ in almost every income based portfolio I manage. It's going to stay there too. I'm not expecting much in the area of capital gains, but the income is steady and reliable. VZ also adds ballast when the market is correcting, I needed some stocks like that. In my personal portfolio VZ is at break even after all the time I've held it. I thought that was funny, to have price at my cost basis when its not a new holding. So, I guess I'm up based on all of the dividends that have been paid. I think I'll add a little more the end of this month. I get why others wish to avoid it and I support their decision. I'm going to keep mine. Any snow up there? Sunny and 60* here. The Missus and I are heading down to Myrtle Beach tomorrow for a few days. It's beach season! Ha!
