Ashli was illegally shot. She received no warning, she was unarmed and posed no threat to any person, the and officer who shot her was plainly, on video, seen to be laying in wait for her and opened fire without cause. She posed no thread, was unarmed, 5'3" tall, there was a blockade preventing her entry into the other room, there was absolutely no justification for her having been shot.
In this case, OTOH, the vehicle was a deadly weapon, she had refused to halt when it was demanded, and had already shown total recklessness in her behavior, creating a danger to herself and others.
I hate the woman lost her life unnecessarily, but she was the cause of it. |
