Not sure how old the regulation is - I was thinking about buying a 4x4 Econoline instead of building one - and went to look at what the regulations were.

I brought in one vehicle in and declared it as a parts vehicle and another (that I since registered and passed inspection) was just a shell - it is totally modified when I took it in for an inspection.
The ironic part is

The one I drove up in from Oregon was declared as the parts vehicle
The shell I brought in on a trailer, ended up getting registered and inspected - has been on the road now for ten years.

What ticks me off is I saw a couple of 4x4 vans for sale in BC during the summer but I was not looking at the time - now that I am looking, they have dried up. A nice 7.3 diesel E350 4x4 is what I am attempting to track down.

Some ambulances came with that package but I want a stock body not a cut away.

Worse case is I will get a good body and frame and have at it.
