FAQ type question:

I have been trying to persuade the doctor in charge of purchasing decisions for a department in a local hospital that he should go with JAZ drives and cartridges for (1) digital imaging, (2) powerpoint type presentations, and 3) backup. He wants to know why he shouldn't go with CD-R, because, as he says, they are rewriteable and the media is cheap.

I know this has been discussed here in the past but to date, my non-techie head has not absorbed the reasoning. Can anyone tell me (so I can tell him) why CD-R is not the way to go? Right now, I feel so defenseless....

Thanks,

d-fndr
