The guy who made that tweet is a real piece of work, an ideologist MAGA type. who does not understand statistics and is always on the search for something to object to. He quit being a professor, apparently due to objections to DEI, and now proclaims himself to be a 'scientist-in-exile'. A better description would be ex-scientist in self-exile. And yes, global average temperature is a valid and useful measure, as he would realize if he understood statistics. LC
