The thing that has me panicking a bit was there a rift between management and Demers on how AI should be done at QC?

QC is all in on the NPU, and Demers is going to Intel to work on their DC GPUs. Qualcomm is really the only one except for Google doing non-GPU AI work.

Did Demers see the writing on the wall, did he just want to do something other than low power GPUs? Hard to say.
