I wasn't asking for investment advice -- I was asking the thread generally whether options become less liquid on the day before Saturday expiration. I am assuming that the price of ASND will be $40 on March 20, and at the moment I'm not interested in anyone's opinion whether that assumption will turn out to be correct.

If you prefer, this is an identical question:

"If stock X closes at price Y on 3/20/98, and I hold call contracts at a strike price of $Y-5 that expire on 3/21/98, is the options market sufficiently liquid to sell safely toward the very end of trading on 3/20/98, or is it wiser to sell earlier in the day?"

Does anyone know this?
