I tried an episode of the American remake of Doc Martin, called Good Meidicine. Doc Martin could be rather twee at times, but was saved the eccentricities of life in Portwen. Alas, Good Medicine completely lacks those redeeming qualities. I may try another episode later in the season to see if they have figured it out, but I expect not. LC
