thanks...your point is certainly valid....each person has own "time periods, etc." for me and my followers, who primarily do L.T., in-the-money Options, taking quickish gains may actually make sense, when/if an issue, like BMC around 20., exhibits initial resistance ....obviously, after a pullback, it may still try for 25-26 L.T. resistance at its 200 DMA, as I intimated originally...diff. strokes for diff. folks, so best wishes to you....even with my exceptional, real-time track record, I still have tended to be sometimes early on buys and sells....but has not hurt us the last 20 years much....
last, if one is just long the stock on a cash basis, one can, of course, weather shorter-term moves, and stick around....my people prefer to make the most we can, the easiest/quickest way we can, (but no "day" trades) versus longer-term (over 5-6 months) holdings, outside pension plan money....I have found most ind. groups take 3-4 months to "rotate" generally, so earning, say 50-100 % very quickly as I do at times, makes some sense, yes ? keep in touch, thanks....
