Before Craig Morton at Cal, the first QB I remember. 49erCoach was Red Hickey (see below**)

Brodie was born in San Francisco. Once was a Scientologist before he quit.

**As I recall, all hickeys were red. Not always consensual, sometimes girls marked their territory.

But I digress as usual.

We had a rooster named John Brodie. IIRC, it was cuz baby girl had a JB rag doll.
