re: gold. I'll follow you with a buy of a few shares of FNV. I'm not comfortable being a trend follower, and surely I am late to the game here. It's just that with the US government operating so differently from what I'm used to, it's hard for me (and so many others apparently) to see why gold would decline much even at such highs now. Again, it could, I just don't see it. Unless there's some mighty good news forthcoming, what would tempt people to get out of gold now, and where would they put their money? Maybe stocks? I am a believer in US capital markets, and occasionally there are some pretty good buying opportunities in stocks. This means for me like you I guess, I want to diversify among some of these good companies. Many are doing well these days too.
