Unfortunately, that is the likely outcome. Which will only encourage BP and ICE in escalating things, but also means the odds of protesters showing up armed and more organized go way up. There is just no way this ends well. Stephen Miller has ordered Minnesota police to stand down and surrender. If there is anything that is going to make them side with the citizens and not the feds, it is things like that. Walz has activated the NG and moved them into the city. When Trump federalizes them, it will be interesting to see what side they back. When the Army shows up, then things should get really interesting. When you look at the pieces on the board and the forces at work, the various scenarios tend to end badly in different ways. Especially when it is clear that brutality is not off the table and is actually being encouraged.
