Samsung notebook and smartphone prices rise amid chip inflation era

Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics have significantly increased the prices of their new notebooks due to rising memory costs driven by AI demand and DRAM supply shortages. Lenovo and Dell also raised prices, with Dell's increase reaching up to 30%.
I guess I was lucky my laptop died a year ago (battery expanded and turned laptop from intermittent to dead) and I replaced it with the best I could get at Costco for about $1300.
