Re: Legacy Portfolio ...

Where do I start? I made a number of adjustments today. This portfolio started out as an income based portfolio, but the owner is 84 years old and never drew a dime for living expenses, he doesn't need the income. So, we discussed it and he decided to turn it into a Legacy Portfolio, something to pass on to his two adult kids. So now we're looking for growth.

This portfolio had 30 - 40 CEF's and I've been selling them off and will continue to do so. In the end, I'll probably keep 5 or 6 of them, we'll see.

This portfolio includes a Taxable Account and a Tax-Deferred Account.

I'll start with the Taxable.

Today I sold .. PTA .. SPE .. AOD .. HTD .. JRI .. EVN.

All of them were in the green except SPE which was down 0.3%. Money was made but the sacrifice was capital growth.

Due to the number of holdings in this portfolio, a Full position is 1.6% of the portfolio value.

All of the following companies were brought up to Full.

GE .. LIN .. SHW .. MA .. JPM .. MO .. NVO .. SWK .. MDLZ .. PEP.

There are 59 holdings in this account and all of them are either Full or Overweight positions with the exception of IBIT (Bitcoin) and SETM (Critical Metals). These two are at 1.5% each, so just slightly under a Full position.

This account has a 4.73% yield x 6.3% dividend growth rate.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Tax-Deferred Account holds CEF's and ETF's only. There are no equities in this account.

Today I sold:

ERH .. FTHY .. JRI .. PTY .. SPE.

This account will continue to hold CEF's and ETF's only.

The proceeds from the sales above were put to work in adding to:

BMEZ .. BOE .. BST .. DPG .. EOI .. EOS .. ETW .. UTG .. UTF.

This account has a 9.41% yield x 4.5% growth rate.

Edit: I used to have QQQI in the Taxable Account but I sold it and now bought it back in the Tax-Deferred Account.
