Don't eat everything that's served. Bring eyedrops. No coffee. Don't sit too close to the screen. Sit on the isle, because it seems everyone else that attends is 6"4"!! Get to bed early (that may not apply for NY, the SF conferences start daily at 7AM). Make sure you go to the breakout sessions of the hottest presenters. You learn much more. Ask other people's opinions.
