Here is my struggle with this whole earnings release and call 1. They is a rehash of "we have real opportunity" story that the street is just not buying - or at least is saying - no need to own you until you actually deliver 2. The memory issue - impacts only qcom?? 3. We are looking at being down 33% in a month - with absolutely ZERO defense by management and the board - there is buyback expansion no management investment in the company nothing - and nothing that tells the market that they beleive at 130 ish stock price is ridiculously low - and we are buyers of our own stock at that price - 4. We have at least 10 - "Look"'s from CA - how about this - Look at the value destruction you are overseeing right before your eyes today - why did you make 29 million last year - your inability to control the narrative is driving a 65B destruction of value in 30 days 5 They tease an investor day - when the hell is that?? 6 They dont want to give color on data center until the investor day - which of course - could be in a month - not likey since they have the annual meeting - so now we are at least 2-5 months from that - 7 Record revenues - offset by significant increases in Opex - maybe i missed it - but are these acquistion related, litigation related or the new norm of more investment they hope will become revenue by 2029? 8 We are back to quarter by quarter earnings projections - which gives the bear case a huge runway to tear the stock apart - 9 they say they returned record capital returns - well - typical of this company - what they bought on the open market was offset by what the stock comp numbers were - so we are not really getting significant benefit in share count decline - 10. Zero update on the aRM litigation or why they were good with the trial date extension - qcom didnt say - analysts didnt ask - more overhang 11. At least they are consistent - cant sell the positive moment, but absolutely devastatingly deliver on downside. No wonder wall street hates this company Lastly - when you keep saying the same thing - and its not working - either you have to find a new message or a new messenger - CA -its looking like you cannot do this job - and i for one am going to vote yes for the shareholder proposals - vote no for the board recommendations - we need a wake up call
