Call me skeptical if you must, yet I suspect a big company like 3M is not going to allow anybody to mess with their dominance in the market place. They don't relish the idea of losing something. Sort of like the Bayer or Contact C pharma letting a cure for the common cold to be made available. Not good for their market share profits. Filters or drugs. JMO
