Stock portfolio update over due. The 3 Oil & Nat Gas E&P are 1/3 & 1/2 positions. Hydrograph is the hi risk spec. at 1/3 position. Stocks 45% Cash 65%. All stocks currently show profits from a few % to over 14% for White Cap Resources, my largest position.

Started putting on these moderate size positions together late last year with most recent add being Crescent Energy (bot 2 days ago -already up 5% & moving higher as I type this.

Am I too conservative? Probably. But 4 self constructed & managed pvt equity portfolios, gradually built from 2004 to 2017 have shown such large gains, stocks are only an after thought. Basically, have to do something with the profit from yr ago sale of large landmark historic country estate in WV which was too big to take care of in my 80s to trade down to his nice 2,850 sq ft. 1928 vintage home on a sm. easy to care for town lot.

Life couldn't be better.

BTW,.I'm nothing special in my family.. Multiple branches AWA my wife's have long wealth histories. Each time a branch has lost their fortunes? It was because the government, in the country where they were living, stole it. And we can all see the next example in the not too distant future. Don't depend on the President or any other admin to protect you. History going back thousands of years says otherwise. Anyway, confident everyone here has planned accordingly..
