I would hope never to be in such a horrendous condition where euthanasia was looking like an option.


I am currently reading St Augustine's City of God. In the first section there is a lengthy discussion of Romans who committed suicide rather than face their fate from the conquering barbarians. Augustine was quite clear that suicide is murder and never justified.
