Duncan, I'm not a momentum player or a big technical analysis fan. I believe in fundamental analysis. I believe that AOL has been overpriced for a very long time and is based on a faulty business model. I also felt something was a bit strange when I continued to receive bills from AOL months after cancelling a trial subscription. I use technical analysis only as an indicator of crowd psychology, showing me the price points at which large groups of people are experiencing positive and negative reinforcement. Whether my fundamental analysis is positive or negative, I will wait for technical indicators to show me that my perceptions are beginning to be shared by others, before taking a position. Otherwise I tend to be early. No sense in standing in the way of a steaming locomotive. On the other hand I will not board the locomotive unless I think it is headed in the right direction. Good luck!
