Index Update February 11 2026

SP500 still consolidating. Inflation data soon.

DOW seeing some profit taking which is a more normal stair step up.

DOW transports following the DOW.

DOW utilities seeing some life. Break of consolidation zone confirmed. Approach first major resistance zone. Watch to see how this is handled.

TLT moving in the other direction. Traders not so sure the direction of long bond rates are down.

USD struggling to confirm a higher low.

COMPQ still with a slight negative bias. Short term sell signal will be negated if up again tomorrow. Intermediate sell signal could also be negated due to the tight trading range.

Semiconductors need to set a new 52 week high to trigger a new buy signal.

This is not good. Despite the better than expect employment number the financials dropped close to the 200 day SMA. A break sets up a long term sell signal. We have been saying the economy is in trouble, the financials are confirming it in a big way.

The move in energy is impressive though still not justified by the fundamentals yet. Traders are betting big on some fundamental change in the future or just moving from USD to hard assets.
