How's BA Robertson Stephens as the suitor? That CBS Sportsline may have been a bench scale study on how the the intergrated company would work. BARS for the high-end clients and EGRP for the huddled masses. If the experiment works, IPO's would be much easier to subscribe. The key would be to assure the big guys that the little guys won't blow out at the first sign of profit and that there are enough little guys to be left holding the bag. P.S. I have a lot of broker buddies from my college days. They say the broker business is done. They hate E-Trade. They would never say one thing positive about it.
