Joe, I agree, but AMD might run a bit farther. A fab deal with IBM is like being in a cage with an Anaconda.
My question to Bob was what happens to NSMs FAB deal with IBM if IBM takes on AMD? Does that squash any chances of NSM getting any state of the art .25u process technology? Does that put the 6x86MX on third teat behind the power PC and K6?
IBM is the clear winner here. Along with CPQ and DELL who is first in line for chips from INTEL if Intel makes price cuts sooner than later in reaction to any AMD-IBM deal...
IBM must be laughing all the way to the bank while using everyone elses technology...or more like milking the cow without having to buy it...
