Get software writer?

I have been thinking...dangerous, I know <g>. But wouldn't it benefit TAVA to hire a couple of good industrial software writers who do that exclusively, rather than pull engineers off billable projects? This is the second quarter that bottom line has been impacted to the tune of MILLIONS of bucks worth of billable hours in order to develop software products. Seems to me that you could easily pay the salaries of a couple, hell, a half dozen such writers, and still have money left over if you assign those engineers to billable projects.

Instead, we get a double whammy: Engineers pulled off billable jobs, subtracting from bottom line. And software costs are capitalized, leading to inflation of assets.

Just in a bad moood today. Never mind....
