Just got a mailing from Brown & Co. Effective 3/2/98, they are adding internet trading (hard to believe it's taken them this long). They are also reducing their commissions to $5/market order, $10/limit order, for up to 5,000 shares.

As some of you may know, Brown is a subsidiary of Chase Manhattan Corp, largest bank in the US. Any impact on E-Trade? Brown has always pitched themselves for the "experienced investor", is this a different customer then an E-Trade customer?
