I think we should discuss other elements of the book that can be examined in hindsight now. Oracle for example. Extending the Tornado by increasing sales quotas and promising the moon for bigger and bigger deals when the market was slowing or becoming more competitive with Sybase and Informix maturing at that time. How can Netscape learn from the 'ignoring the customers' mistakes that Oracle made while artificially extending the Tornado. Having first hand knowledge of this tactic at Oracle, I know of large customer installs of theirs that will never spend another dime there. Can Netscape create a healthy, respect the customer, Tornado, where everyone wins?
