Oh...! Imagine that the US government emulates China's policy. The police then would be in charge of antivirus activities. Them cops set up a special number (say 922) for users whose computers are infected with virus to call. These (computer- or otherwise-) illiterate cops would be dispatched to crime sites with some kind of disinfectant. If you cannot see any effect whatsoever on antivirus companies, I don't know what you can see.
