V-Man,
My apologies. I've been on the road since the Brite visit and just returned from the Wireless 98 show in Atlanta. Haven't even unpacked the bags yet!
The Brite visit was interesting but I was disappointed that I didn't get to talk to any of the senior management as planned. I was told it was a "budget issue" that required a change in plans. Anyway, I did get to meet with some of the middle management representing Business Development, Marketing, Sales, and Engineering. My visit was business related so you'll have to excuse me if I didn't take your advice V-Man and go for Da Man's juggler. I did ask about the purpose of the move to Orlando and received the same answer from three different conversations. Apparently, the international prospects they were targeting found it cumbersome to fly into Wichita for site visits. I never asked about why Orlando was chosen, but on my drive out, I did notice that a Cinncinnati Bell Info Services(CBIS) bldg. was just down the street. Now, where was that CEO from?....>:-)

I also asked about which products were going to be the big revenue producers for BVSI this year? They stated that the focus would be on three different product sets. They are Voice Enabled Services(VAD, VM), Debit Services, and a product set called Managed Services. As for long term revenue, the Business Development folks feel that the Managed Services will provide the bulk of long term revenue. I inquired as to the description of this product set and they referred to it as the ability for a telco carrier to outsource for different services that Brite could provide nationally on a transactional basis(Pay by the Drink). That was about as specific as anyone would offer on the subject. I also asked about expected growth targets in revenue this year and they responded that they wanted to exceed their expected 110 million mark of last year by 30%. I offered that this was a pretty aggressive target and they concurred.

As for the reasoning behind the AT&T investment, I was told it was due to the interest they had in Brite's future business with these new products. I guess we'll have to draw our own conclusions on that one.

Anyway, that's my trip report. Just remember boyz! I'm only the messenger......;-)

Regards,
Crash
