Their Engineers are software writers as well. Engineer is too broad. They even have guys looking for Y2K problems in UNIX systems that control floor machines. Part of their PlantY2KOne product searches through programming source code for problems. TAVA really has a tremendous talent pool working for them. That is why I wouldn;t be surprised to see many more Software/Hardware products coming out of their company. It is probably best to have a person familiar with plant systems writing the code to help remediate them. The learning curve for others would be expensive. Besides, contract programming is expensive (trust me, I know).
