See reply #68. CUBE is designing a single chip MPEG-2 encoder that they claim will be available sometime in 1997. So InnovaCom is ahead of CUBE. Whether or not CUBE has a two-chip encoder is not a big issue, since a single-chip encoder is likely to be preferable and cheaper. IBM already has a three-chip encoder. I called CUBE investor relations and left a message but they have not returned my call yet.
