EJ, RE:They've installed 5,000 eximer lasers in steppers but find themselves locked-out of the DUV eximer market.

In fairness, they said that's how many excimer lasers they've shipped in totality. Industrial, scientific and medical applications are what comprise the vast majority of that number. I liked the first part of the commentary in which the IR rep. said, "I define it as order for 10 or more units from a single source at one time. Lambda Physik can do that and we look forward to that challenge when the opportunity arises."

Someday they will get a quantity order... Good for them. They make it sound like the other customers would be out of luck if they received such a "large" order.
