Fuchi, is it my imagination or did some Yahoo links to the NSM/TSMC deal disappear today? I could swear there were two links on Monday when you hit "news" for TSM and now there are none. The source news story can still be found at www.ft.com ... which is a great resource.

A search for NSM popped up this story -- which is old news with a new twist:

"Intel: Return to basics
WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 25 1998

Intel demonstrated a new version of its Pentium II microprocessor last week designed specifically for use in personal computers costing less than $1,000 (œ600) ... This stripped-down version of the Pentium II is expected to make its debut this summer in PCs from Compaq and others selling for between $700 and $800. "

COMPAQ commits to the cacheless PII? The WSJ article on 2/18 didn't mention anything.
