Having listened to the conference call, I will just add several small pieces of info that were made available.

1. The delayed component will arrive in early April. At that time NTEG will build prototypes and conduct an "in house" diabetic study (like the one in the fall) to see whether the major source of inaccuracy in the meter has been eliminated in its use in the field.

2. Both NTEG and the manufacturer share the blame for the delay in the delivery of the missing component. A comedy of errors, or worse, evidently.

3. Solomon is confident that the meter will come to market: "it's a question of when, not if." He is "optimistic about the results" of the coming tests since NTEG has verified that by reading a different part of the wavelength of the ISF, the major source of inaccuracy is eliminated. That said, the component designed to do just this must be tested.

My thoughts: the market will most likely not like (perceived) further delays. But the fundamentals remain unchanged. Investors who like the fundamentals will have to wait through another quarter of uncertainty and possible manic moves (in either direction) as rumors fly.
