They reiterated this statement at least twice at BARS:

Regarding your question:

Perhaps this statement from Q2's earnings announcement is in jeopardy:
"The Company reiterated its comfort with analysts' projections that it will achieve break-even operating results in the quarter ended March 31, 1998, and profitability in the quarter ending June 30, 1998."

They said the same thing at the conference several times.

On another matter (responding to other posts): Lets be careful about knocking Mr. Craft too much. Look at the diversity of opinion on this thread; we need to hear dissenting opinions, especially for a company not quite profitable yet. I think he galvanized the discussion of the threat from MSFDC. Also, from what I understand, when he found out the company was going to disagree with a lot in the report, he encouraged them to come and speak at the conference about these issues. He introduced the speakers, and sat at the table during the presentation.

OTOH, I think that this fear of Microsoft will eventually dissipate. I see more similarity here to MS foray into online services against AOL, than MS running PC operating system and application program software providers out of business. AOL has done just fine competing against MS, and I suspect CheckFree can to.
