Just received the following from broker via FAX:

COWEN MORNING CALL (2/27)

Compaq - Strong Buy

Weakness provides opportunity to build large positions. Channel inventory issue overblown. Demand is solid, see no risk to post-split Q1 EPS of $0.35 E (vs 0.30). CPQ offers brand name, scale and is likely to gain market share. DEC deal puts it in strong position in NT. (Analyst: Chu)
