Easy, guys. These delicate dances take a little time. If Jack gives periodic statuses, with incremental progress, it's easy to complain that we need more. On the other hand, if he says nothing except when some tangible action occurs, at relatively long intervals, then he's stonewalling. All of us feel impatient, anxious, at risk, etc. But the reality is, real business relationships, with all the legal entanglements, take a fair amount of time to put in place. Even when the principals want to move on briskly, the details, and the legal type who have to manage them, slow the process.
I want progress too. And I want it NOW! However, I'm not so sure that cracking the whip from the sidelines (ouch, what a mixed metaphor!) will have much effect. I think Jack's personal motivation to salvage his own participation in the enterprise is by far the best driver we've got. Patience, Lads! JimA |
