Albert, The price drops were needed to deny AMD funds in the long run. Intel burnt that money on the altar of monopoly, to stay predominat as they try a microchannel private club. It looks like there will be few members in that club if AMD gets IBM making K6-7 as well as the .25 fab. In fact Intel has admitted this and is making a crippled version to make a feeble and transparent clutch at the market it claimed it was abandoning. Bill
