Joint venture signs with Interface

ANN ARBOR -- Interface Systems Inc. and MSFDC, the electronic bill presentation and payment joint venture between Microsoft Corp. and First Data corp., announced that MSFDC plans to use Interface's enterprise printing and document formatting systems for mainframe computers. This means that when the service is introduced later this year, customers of billers using mainframe computers will be able to see customized utility, banking and other bills in the format to which they are accustomed, whether displayed electronically or to be printed in hard copy. Corporations that use mainframes to perform billing include most banks, utilities and retailers as well as phone, cable, gasoline, oil and credit card companies.
