There is no doubt that improper care has limited this species growth
in the real world environment. Perhaps it's because the head researcher
isn't used to growing things outside of the labratory environment.

I spoke with the rep at length about this and said that I felt they
were shooting themselves in the foot... and making it hard even for
those of us who are on their side. The leader seems surprised at
our reaction, which is hard for me to understand. He needs to learn
that "If you say it, do it. If you can't do it, don't say it. If
you say it and don't do it you look like a fool."

Perhaps when Jake meets with him he can help him understand why this
is a bad idea and how to better package his results so they will be
accepted by the scientific community.

One thing that is hard for me to understand is why we see so little
growth off of pushes that would send any other species skyrocketting.
Sometimes I feel like we're hitting a golf ball with a driver and it
only goes 3 feet. In some ways slow steady growth is better, but this
seems ridiculous. :-)
