<<Has anyone called the IR guys lately?>> fwiw, I emailed Dr. Bain, and got a tongue-in-cheek reply "more buyers than sellers" followed by he believes that people are just starting to realize the value of the NRT." IMO, he can't say anything, but I believe that one or more of the investment houses have put out a buy rec. No other explanation for all the sudden volume and upward move in the absence of news.
