Why the inflammatory comment to me ..."drifter...?" What did I do to deserve your wrath?

ISO9000 has mainly been to gain the followng advantages.
1. Meet your customer's needs to be qualified (somewhat a common level of quality (key word - somewhat))
2. Get the companie's records in order. This is a massive task for most companies that attempt certification.
3. Give the Quality and Reliability organization more clout.
4. And yes if the improvements that come from this certification process cause business process improvement - lower cost, higher quality, and potentially better return.
