Dominion Bridge Says It Has Held No Discussions With Royal Millennia Group
MONTREAL, Canada--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 27--Dominion Bridge Corporation (NASDAQ/NMS: DBCO - news; VSE:DMO.U - news; ''DBC'') confirms that it has not received any form of offer from Royal Millennia Group Ltd. (NASDAQ:RMGL - news; OTC Bulletin Board:RMGL - news) and issued the following statement:

We understand that Davie Industries management has never been approached by Royal Millennia. As a matter of fact, the company did not have any discussions with Royal Millennia relative to their proposal to acquire Davie Industries, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company.

If Royal Millennia wants to make a serious offer for the acquisition of Davie Industries Inc., Royal Millennia should direct its acquisition proposal to Legg Mason Wood Walker, the company's investment banker retained to review strategic alternatives to enhance the company's shareholder value.

Dominion Bridge was established in 1879. The company is active in the international engineering and infrastructure markets. It manages projects and operates facilities in North and South America, Europe and the Asia Pacific.

Dominion Bridge Corporation's subsidiaries are Dominion Bridge, Inc., Steen Becker, Inc. and Davie Industries. Its Australian subsidiary, McConnell Dowell Corporation, is a major Asia Pacific engineering firm.
