Fields Aircraft Spares and Flightways Manufacturing Inc. to Participate in Asian Aerospace '98

SIMI VALLEY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 26, 1998--Fields Aircraft Spares Inc. (Nasdaq:FASI - news) and Flightways Manufacturing Inc., a division of Fields Aircraft, Thursday announced that they will be among 800 top aerospace companies from 30 countries worldwide to participate in the Asian Aerospace '98 at the Changi Exhibition Centre, Singapore, Feb. 24 to March 1.

The purpose of the exhibition is to bring together influential aerospace decision-makers and provide visitors and exhibitors with the best forum for business in one of the most dynamic aerospace regions in the world today.

Alan Fields, president of Fields Aircraft, stated: ''Asian Aerospace '98 is one of the most important international aerospace shows in the world. We see this event as a way to introduce the joint capabilities of Fields Aircraft Spares and Flightways Manufacturing to Asian carriers, as well as to solicit representation in the Asia-Pacific region.''

He went on to add, ''Worldwide, the aerospace industry continues strong, and although Asia has suffered recent economic problems, the long-term outlook for Fields in the Asian marketplace could potentially be very promising.

''In fact, the Asia-Pacific region has emerged as the biggest buyer and user of aircraft and aerospace components, with a total of 3,400 aircraft expected to be acquired by Asian carriers by the year 2014. This argues well for Fields attending the exhibit.''
