I have to say I agree with John that Datek is doing a great job, overall. Clearly some aspects need some serious improvement and the company probably needs a bit more experienced management so as to avoid the sudden moves here and there. However, the fact remains that Datek offers a quality of execution not available elsewhere or previously, at least so far as I know, and I am a very happy customer. Given all the criticism, would anyone like to see Datek close down? I would be very, very disappointed if that happened. Anyone tried Schwab lately. Yecchhh, and I've been a Schwab customer for 20 years. Let's do make constructive suggestions in an upbeat tone. But let's not demoralize a company that is offering a service we like to use, else we would use another. Last point, lately all this technical HTML talk and such (which I don't understand) causes me to think some people are losing the forest for the trees. The milli-seconds are important and do add up of course, and should be considered. However it is not the only consideration, nor the only aspect, of a generally excellent service. just my brainless opinion. regards to all peter michaelson
