I do not think it is a valid play. A vast majority of the gases and chemicals used in the IC industry is a niche division of a mega-company. For instance, Ashland Chemical is a very large Chemical conglomerate that has semiconductor grade chemicals that make up a small part of the overall balance sheet. Metheson and Praxiar are big gas suppliers but they are not totally dedicated to this industry. I would encourage your investigation to find a player in this area that can be leveraged for huge potential profits.

I have not ventured into this area because I PERCEIVE (key word) that it will most likely be a dead end. I could be wrong and would entertain researching any possible candidates you might uncover. It is just a road I have chosen not to travel for the reasons I gave you.

Good Luck to you and if you decide to do some leg work, I would not mind leveraging off your work if a good candidate should pop up.

Andrew
