There is one reason for optimism-

The upgrade to "BUY" today came from Robertson Stephens, which was the
host for the high tech conference where VLSI presumably gave their
forecast for the rest of 1998 on Wednesday.

So it must have been a pretty good outline of VLSI's upcoming business. VLSI has two more presentations next week, Merrill Lynch, and DLJ.
