Orbital Sciences (NASDAQ:ORBI) gets $1.11 bln contract Reuters, Friday, February 27, 1998 at 17:24 WASHINGTON, Feb 27 (Reuters) - Orbital Sciences Corp has received a $1.117 billion U.S. defense contract to provide targeting support for the Pentagon's missile defense research progrm, the Army said. The big aerospace firm will provide a range of targetting support services for the Defense Department's Ballistic Missile Defense Organization, which is working to find ways of shooting down ballistic missiles in flight. The contract, which provides for one option, runs through February of 2003, the Army said. Copyright 1998, Reuters News Service
