K,

Don't get me wrong. I have great respect for Idt's process and I have heard great things about their process guru Cheunder Lien. What I didn't know was whether they had a 0.25um process in Oregon.

You say that it is clear from the chip size that it's a 0.25um process. Well this is very encouraging as it sounds as if they have basically built a 0.25um fab. It had been previous reported in a number of places that they were ramping up as a 0.35um fab.

Reports on the Cyrix thread suggested that the C6 was a essentially a 0.35um process with a 0.28um gate which could be done with one DUV stepper stuck in some corner. Clearly, they have a lot more which bodes well for a 0.25um launch of C+ this year.

Thanks for the info.

Kane
