Found this:

"In Version 5.0[lotus notes], you will not only be able to search in a Notes database, but across all databases, or in any other information type. So you might search across the Web or the Internet for a category of information with the same kind of seamlessness that you'd search across a Notes database. We can bring it back and, importantly, filter it, categorize it, rank it."
rest of article at: zdnet.com

This is exacly (and more) what the Verity product does, looks like either Lotus has developed something itself or has bought or licenced from someone like Verity. Considering that Lotus already uses the Verity search engine in Notes, Verity is a strong possability....could we see Lotus buying out Verity????.....more of a wish :)
