Think what we are seeing is normal profit taking on stock with high PE multiple. Prices suffered momentarily when PPD broke into high 20's, dropping at one point back to about 21 if I recall on very high volume last fall. Another swing back after breaking through into low 30's, and now again on break into low 40's.

Stock appears pretty much fair valued based on current earnings. However, Zacks recently (within the past month or so I believe) upgraded PPD to "Strong Buy" (most of last year they listed PPD as a "Hold", despite great performance). Apparently they are convinced that Travelers deal will bear fruit, and as long as earnings continue to grow, should probably hang tight through the swings (and perhaps buy more).

Maybe I'm just a lucky fool, but that strategy has certainly worked for me over the past 14 months...!
